The same three-stone idea as the Dhan Yog bracelet, built as a rakhi.

Pyrite, citrine and tiger's eye chips on a festival cord with a tassel. It ties like a rakhi on the day and wears like a stone bracelet for the rest of the year.

This is the piece for the brother who runs a business, is starting one, or has just moved jobs.

Why this piece

  1. Genuine gemstone beads rather than dyed glass — pyrite, citrine and tiger's eye.
  2. Dhan Yog is the jyotish combination traditionally associated with wealth; the rakhi takes its name from it.
  3. Ties like a rakhi and wears like a stone bracelet afterwards.
  4. Particularly suited to a brother in business or starting something new.
  5. Cleansed and energised before dispatch.
  6. Roli-chawal sachet included.

How to wear
  • Tie it on the right wrist — the traditional wrist for a rakhi.
  • Apply tilak first, then tie the thread, then the sweet. Roli-chawal is included in the box.
  • Pull the knot firm; the cord is braided so it will not slip loose.
  • After Raksha Bandhan it can be worn as a bracelet or kept in the display case.
Style tip

Pair it with the Dhan Yog bracelet as the Jodi set — sister keeps the bracelet, brother gets the rakhi.

Best day to wear

Raksha Bandhan, Friday 28 August 2026. Thursday and Friday are traditionally linked with prosperity practices.

Care & cleansing

Care

  • Keep away from water, perfume, sanitiser and chemical cleaners — natural stone and rudraksha dull on contact.
  • Remove before bathing, swimming and sleeping.
  • Wipe with a dry, soft cloth. Do not soak.
  • Store in the pouch or box it came in, away from direct heat.

Cleansing

  • Every piece is cleansed and energised before it is packed, so nothing is required from you before wearing or tying it.
  • If you want to refresh it later: leave it in moonlight overnight, rest it on a selenite plate for six to eight hours, or pass it through sage smoke.
  • Do not use salt water on strung beads — it weakens the cord.
Packaging
  • Ships in a YourRaahi box with the piece secured inside.
  • A printed meaning card explaining the stone or symbol is included.
  • Rakhi orders include a roli-chawal sachet.
  • No invoice is placed inside the box when you mark the order as a gift at checkout — just leave a note.

Frequently asked questions

What does Dhan Yog mean?

In jyotish it refers to a combination of planetary positions traditionally associated with wealth. This rakhi takes its name from that tradition — it is a gift item, not a prediction.

Are the stones real?

Yes. Pyrite, citrine and tiger's eye chips. Colour and banding vary between pieces because the stone is natural.

Can it be worn after Raksha Bandhan?

Yes — remove the tassel and it wears as a stone chip bracelet.

Which wrist?

Right wrist for the tying, as with any rakhi. Afterwards, either.
